gday fans….
as the year comes to an end i thought you all might like to know what i have been up to at home here in arizona….firstly, i am happy to say that the tigers wanted to have me back for another year and so my contract has been signed and finalized and i am excited about the oming season and our chances for success….after taking some time off to see family in australia and taking a vacation in hawaii, my family and i came back to our house in arizona and normal life…..this includes my training in the mornings and golfing any time i get the chance….i spend most of my days playing with the kids and i think they wear me out more than any other training i could do…it was my son cade’s 1st birthday last week and we had a party with a bounce house for the 15 kids here….i think i had the most fun of everyone jumping on the enormous blow-up jumping castle….
well, christmas is around the corner and my parents and sister are visiting from australia and england to spoil the kids with lots of presents and attention…..it will be great to see them again - i miss them all year….after exchanging gifts on christmas morning, we will have a big dinner with all the family and some friends as well….a little partying and some egg-nog should make for a happy christmas….
on another note, i am happy to see igawa realize his dream of becoming a major-leaguer….although he will obviously be missed as a teammate and a friend, i know that he gave tigers fans alot to cheer about over the years and we should be thankful of that and wish him the best of success and to represent us honorably and make us proud….i know he’ll do very well…
as it is only about 6 weeks till spring training, now is the time to step up my training to be in great shape for the season…i’ve had the same trainer for the last 3 years who helps keep me as powerful as i can be…it’s hard work but really pays off on the field…
well i better get back to playing with the kids…..
