FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP！

G’day everyone.
It’s been too long and for that I am sorry. I have had some family
visiting recently and entertaining them keeps me from writing new　
messages. Besides, I was injured and too frustrated to be positive with
what I wrote.　It is very difficult to watch my teammates play when I
cannot do my job and help us win. I feel useless.　But I am much stronger　
now and doing my best to remain healthy and not miss any more games. As I
get older I am starting to realize that I can’t do as much as I used to and
I need to be more careful while I train.　Makes me wish I was 25 again.
Well, the great news is that we are finally playing to our potential giving
　you all something to cheer about.　 Now tied for 3rd and closing in on
1st.　 Winning is what it’s all about and I feel that we have some great
momentum to carry us during the august road trip. Being away from Koshien
so long makes it very difficult to maintain our best condition but I hope
that we can ride this wave of positive play into the final 2 months of the
season. We’ll do our best I promise.
I definitely feel well rested and ready for the home stretch after my time
recovering and the all-star break. During the time off, I took my wife and
kids to Awaji island for a little vacation.　We stayed at the Westin hotel
and it was fantastic. The room was very comfortable and the staffs were
friendly and helpful. We had a great time relaxing in the pool and playing
at some parks nearby. It was a much needed break for us all. We will
definitely go back again soon. It’s all business now though and I’ll do
my best bring home the championship…
